Unfortunately the importance of mattress pads is all too often underestimated. In fact, mattress pads simultaneously fulfill several functions needed for ideal sleeping comfort: they ensure the best hygienic environment for sleep and offer a particularly soft surface to lie on without lessening support from the mattress. Churchill and Smith mattress pads provide insulation and rapidly disperse moisture from the body. In the winter, no warmth is lost, in the summer a build-up of heat or moisture is prevented. By contrast, a mattress alone can hardly absorb any moisture and offers no protection against unpleasant cold and warm climates. Churchill and Smith mattress pads are extremely easy to care for and they make a valuable contribution to a hygienic sleeping environment.
