Churchill and Smith believes that we have a responsibility towards the environment. This is why we use sustainable wood in our building products. Wood grows naturally using energy from the sun. It is sustainable, recyclable, and renewable. We choose to use wood products because it is the eco-friendly choice. It is by far better for the environment than plastic and other non-natural materials.
Why We Use It…
We use sustainable wood because we have a strong commitment to the environment. Sustainable wood comes from sustainably managed forests. It is grown and harvested in eco-friendly forests. It’s renewable because stewards manage the landscape to prevent damage to eco-systems, wildlife, watersheds and the trees themselves. The sustainable wood we harvest is from protected forests. Wood is renewable, recyclable, biodegradable and it stores carbon. Since it stores carbon it results in a smaller environmental footprint than other building materials. It uses far less energy to produce and is a very effective insulator.
How We Use It…
Wood is renewable and natural and is a major structural material. Our wood box springs and platform beds are Eco Friendly and incredibly robust and long lasting. Wood is a light material but yet durable and resistant. Our designs are sleek and elegant yet provide years upon years of longevity. All our wood products are crafted by local artisans and the attention to detail is second to none.
